The Foundation's Prize

For the academic year 2010-2011, the Foundation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris offers one professorship-level position to a young mathematician from France or abroad. The awardee will also receive a financial prize of €10.000 to reward his scientific excellence.

Eligibility criteria
Mathematicians of all research disciplines (pure and applied), of French or foreign citizenship, who are at the level of “Associate Professor” or “Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches” are eligible, with the exception of those who are members of a laboratory affiliated to the Foundation.
All mathematical disciplines (pure and applied) are welcome.
The selection will be based on excellence in scientific accomplishment. The jury is composed by eminents mathematicians (clic here for more details).
Contract conditions of the awardee
The awardee will be offered a twelve (12) months work contract and a net salary of € 2,500.00 per month; he will thus benefit from health insurance and social coverage. Accommodation is offered by the Foundation and a research budget of €5,000 is also provided.
The awardee will carry out research in one of the laboratories affiliated to the Foundation. The selected candidate will also be required to give a total of twenty hours of doctorate-level lectures at the IHP (Institut Henri Poincaré) in Paris

The awardee will give a total of twenty hours of doctorate-level lectures at the Institut Henri Poincaré in Paris.
The Prize
In addition, the awardee will receive a financial prize of €10,000 offered by the French bank Crédit du Nord.
