Cédric Villani receives the Henri Poincaré Prize for year 2009
Cédric Villani, Professor in the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon and Director of the IHP, receives the Henri Poincaré Prize for year 2009.
The Henri Poincaré Prize was created in 1997 to recognize outstanding contributions in mathematical physics. It is awarded every three years at the International Mathematical Physics Congress and rewards 3 researchers. Two other french researchers received the Henri Poincaré Prize before : David Ruelle in 2006 and Maxim Kontsevich in 1997.
