The Foundation Simone et Cino del Duca of the Institut de France awards every year an ambitious scientific project.
The theme of the 2009's call of application was "Mathematics and its applications".
For this year, the jury of members of the Institut de France elected Michael Harris, Professor at Paris-Diderot University, and his team from the Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu, for their work on Automorphic representations and Galois representations.
The Award has been officially given to Michael Harris on june 10th 2009 at 3p.m. at the Institut de France (23 quai de Conti 75006 Paris).
